As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Wilmington Treatment Center to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Wilmington Treatment Center.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Options for telehealth visitation are continuously evaluated so that our patients can remain connected to their loved ones.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

CDC updates are consistently monitored to ensure that all guidance followed is based on the latest information released.

  • All staff has received infection prevention and control training.
  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance has been provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are being monitored and utilized.
  • Temperature and symptom screening protocols are in place for all patients and staff.
  • Social distancing strategies have been implemented to ensure that patients and staff maintain proper distance from one another at all times.
  • Cleaning service contracts have been reviewed for additional support.
  • Personal protective equipment items are routinely checked to ensure proper and secure storage.
  • CDC informational posters are on display to provide important reminders on proper infection prevention procedures.
  • We are in communication with our local health department to receive important community-specific updates.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then immediately dispose of the tissue.

  • Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are frequently touched.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.

In accordance with our vision statement, it is the mission and responsibility of all employees of Wilmington Treatment Center to provide excellent treatment to addicted individuals and their families in an atmosphere governed by respect for all.

Our Philosophy

At Wilmington Treatment Center, our goal is to provide a superior treatment experience to adult men and women who have been struggling with substance abuse, chemical dependency, and certain co-occurring mental health disorders. Our approach to treatment is based upon our understanding that addiction is a chronic progressive disease that is best treated via a complete continuum of comprehensive services.

At Wilmington Treatment Center, we are dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives a personalized treatment plan that identifies and addresses his or her unique needs, strengths, and treatment goals. We believe in a patient-focused approach to treatment, we place great value on developing a strong alliance between patients and the professionals with whom they work, and we are dedicated to incorporating evidence-based, research-supported therapies and techniques in a manner that is best suited to meeting our patients’ treatment objectives.

Treatment at Wilmington Treatment Center is based on the principles and practices of the 12-Step recovery model as well as best practice modalities, with a focus on personal growth and recovery. We understand that treatment is just one step along the path of lifelong recovery, and we endeavor to help our patients develop the skills and strategies that will empower them to continue the progress that they make during their time with us.
